Job Details for Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer (Type II)Court Name/Organization: Oregon Probation OfficeOverview of the Position: The U.S. Probation Office for the District of Oregon is accepting applications for a Deputy Chief U.S. Probation Officer located in the Portland Office. The Deputy Chief primarily assists the Chief U.S. Probation Officer in the administration and management of the Probation Office within the District. As an integral part of the organization's executive management, the incumbent will be responsible for providing high-level leadership to formulate, supervise, and implement policy and initiatives to achieve organizational goals and objectives with a focus on strengths-based leadership and evidence-based practices. The Deputy Chief is the second-in-command and serves in the Chief Probation Officer's capacity during absences of the Chief. The Deputy Chief Probation Officer reports to the Chief Probation Officer.The federal Judiciary is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
