Description:Project & Business Challenge: Client's Global Places & Services (GPS) organization brings to life the physical environments and experiences in more than 100 cities around the world. This team's mission is to "make location a competitive advantage" . The Location Intelligence team within GPS is currently in the early stages of implementing a new geospatial tool called ESRI ArcGIS, and they need a new Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join the team. This person will be working cross-functionally with GPS and TechOps team to support the infrastructure required to stand-up and maintain this new ESRI ArcGIS platform. ESRI's updates can be tricky to install onto their SQL Azure database, so they ideally want a candidate that can leverage Infrastructure-as-Code to help automate the process. This person will need to ensure system is up and running to meet the 99.99% SLA timeframe during working hours.=========================================We are seeking an experienced Azure infrastructure engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, building and maintaining our Azure infrastructure to help plan and deploy new and existing applications. You will also oversee the process of design, maintain and monitor the new system as well as configuring connectivity with various other systems and data sources in the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical experience with communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the other members of the internal as well as external teams.Responsibilities:--- Design and implement highly available and performance driven infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.--- Monitor and maintain the health of the Azure environment--- Manage and optimize Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance.--- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.--- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration.--- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure.--- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.--- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.--- Develop and maintain documentation for Azure infrastructure and processes.--- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning.--- Implement and manage Azure networking components.--- Ensure cost optimization of Azure resources.--- Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging approved tools to ensure automated platform deploymentsRequired Skills:--- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.--- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.--- 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud services.--- Strong understanding of Azure architecture and services.--- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform etc.--- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.--- Knowledge of networking concepts and Azure networking components.--- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor etc.--- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.--- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.--- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.--- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.--- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.--- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.--- Experience with databases like SQL Server or SQL AzureNice to have:--- Experience with Snowflake and Databricks--- Prior experience with the installation and maintenance of ESRI's ArcGIS software--- Relevant Azure certifications are a plusSkills:Azure, infrastructure management, infrastructure engineering, terraform, iac, sql azure, sql server administration, sql, esri, geographic information systemTop Skills Details:Azure,infrastructure management,infrastructure engineering,terraform,iac,sql azure,sql server administration,sqlAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Soft Skills: must be a proactive self-starter, strong attention to detail, someone that readily creates and share best practices, ability to create structure out of ambiguity, can't be a task-taker.Experience Level:Entry Level
