Tektronix, Inc. (“Tektronix”) is seeking Radio Frequency (RF) Applications

Engineer III in Beaverton, Oregon.

Duties: Responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, or

supervising the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment,

components, or systems to control Tektronix Spectrum Analyzers in making

Radio Frequency (RF) measurements. Specific duties include: Training our

field and Technical Support Center Application Engineers on key wireless

applications and our products; hosting multi-day training events for

customers in English and Mandarin on Test and Measurement products;

developing courseware in English and Mandarin for education teaching labs

and support research use cases; publishing and presenting at seminars and

events on technical topics; troubleshooting customer issues using Tektronix

Spectrum Analyzers and Other RF Test Tools; technically evaluating third-

party software and hardware to work with our product, characterizing their

performance; publishing articles and white papers on industry topics and

our products in IEEE and other industry publications; and supporting the

China Sales team in Mandarin, including phone calls, applications, product

requirements, training on products, and troubleshooting.

Requirements: Master's degree (or equivalent foreign education) in

Electrical Engineering or related field, plus one (1) year of experience

troubleshooting Radio Frequency/microwave test and measurement issues.

Must possess the following: using spectrum analyzers or vector network

analyzers to design, validate, or debug circuits; theory and application of

wireless standards; creating Matlab, C, C++, VHDL, Verilog, PLC code;

writing content, publishing papers in scientific/engineering journals, and

presenting publications to audiences; training engineers or students on

electrical engineering topics; and spoken and written Mandarin Chinese.

Position requires approximately 20% travel to various sites both

internationally and within the United States.
